Bank of Nevada’s Bill Paredes was recently elected to the Nevada Bankers Association (NBA), the influential voice of Nevada’s diverse banking industry. Paredes’ nomination was approved by a unanimous vote of the board.

Paredes is senior managing director, commercial banking, for Bank of Nevada. He leads the Southern Nevada corporate banking team serving companies in the gaming and hospitality sectors, contractors, manufacturers and healthcare organizations, among others. Paredes has more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector.

“I look forward to supporting Nevada’s banking industry and ensuring it has a clear voice on the issues that affect our communities and the economic growth of our state,” said Paredes.

“As a commercial banker, I understand the NBA’s mission to ensure Nevada customers have access to the best banking products and services available. It’s vital for our economic growth.”

Paredes joined Bank of Nevada in 2000. He is active in the community as a board member and treasurer for both Goodwill of Southern Nevada and the Downtown Las Vegas Alliance, and as a board member for The Economic Club of Las Vegas and Nevada Banker’s Association.
