Bank of Nevada Promotes Melanie Maviglia and Kate Zavala-Duran To Senior Director Roles

LAS VEGAS -- Bank of Nevada is pleased to announce the promotions of Melanie Maviglia and Kate Zavala-Duran to senior directors of business banking. 

Melanie Maviglia has spent 34 years in the banking industry assisting clients in Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City. Since joining Bank of Nevada in 2018, Maviglia's responsibilities have included the management of a business and consumer portfolio and maintaining client relationships while creating new opportunities among business owners seeking customized financial solutions.

Kate Zavala-Duran has been in banking for nearly 22 years, the majority at Bank of Nevada. After successfully managing operations and officers at multiple Bank of Nevada locations, Zavala-Duran moved into business banking. Her responsibilities include management of a client deposit portfolio and expansion of business banking relationships with new and existing Bank of Nevada clients.

Maviglia and Zavala-Duran will continue management of their business banking portfolios while expanding business development in commercial, industrial and Small Business Administration (SBA) lending. Both will oversee Bank of Nevada relationship managers across all business sectors.

Maviglia is a 35-year Nevada resident and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a board member for the Sunrise Children's Foundation, Nevada Senior Services and Nevada Chapter of the ALS Association. Maviglia is also a leadership member of Bank of Nevada's employee-led Women's Alliance Business Resource Group.

Zavala-Duran is a graduate of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship Graduate School in Ostrowiec, Świętokrzyski, Poland. She received her Banking certificate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Zavala-Duran is a member of the Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors of Nevada Association (PHCC).
