      How long does it take to open my account?

      The online account opening process typically takes about 10 minutes to complete.

      What documentation do I need to provide?

      You’ll need some information about your business and yourself (or the authorized business contact opening the account):

      • Legal names and contact information
      • Individual and business addresses
      • Driver’s license or passport information
      • Current articles or certificates of incorporation, with proof of filing with your state/county
      • Business name filing document if you do business using a DBA (doing business as), fictitious name, trade name or assumed name. The document must show your business name and be current and in good standing. 
      • We may ask for business documentation, such as records about your business’s legal structure.

      Who can open an account?

      Individuals authorized to conduct business transactions may be able to apply online for a business account. These may include:

      • Authorized Signer (individual(s) who can make account transactions, including depositing and withdrawing funds)
      • Beneficial Owner (a person(s) with a direct or indirect controlling interest in the business)
      • Authorized Officer (a person with a significant responsibility for managing the business who is authorized to sign resolutions, certifications, and other agreements on behalf of the business)

      To apply online for an account, all of the individuals (owners, authorized signers and authorized officers) listed on your application must be the same on all the accounts you apply for. If your needs are more complex, please get in touch with your relationship manager or contact us online.

      How do I fund my account?

      You can fund the account via a check deposit by mail or using our mobile app. You can also make a deposit in one of our banking offices or via wire transfer. 

      Your new business deposit account(s) must be funded with the minimum opening deposit within 25 calendar days. Accounts that remain unfunded for 30 calendar days will be closed.

      How long does it take for my account to be approved?

      In most cases, you will receive a response to your account application within a few minutes. In some cases, we may need more information. In that case, business banker will reach out to assist you.

      Will I get a debit card or checks?

      As part of the application process, you’ll have an opportunity to customize your account, including requesting debit card(s) or checks. Your business banker will reach out to assist with these requests.
