Jon VanDerMeid joined Western Alliance Bank in 2023 and brings nearly 20 years of experience to his role as Credit Underwriting and Portfolio Manager, Commercial & Industrial.
In his position, Mr. VanDerMeid oversees the credit underwriting and portfolio management process for the Commercial & Industrial group. After starting his career at JPMorgan Chase, Mr. VanDerMeid subsequently held positions at Bank of America, MUFG Union Bank and City National Bank. During his prior tenures, Mr. VanDerMeid played pivotal roles in commercial, corporate and investment banking underwriting. He also demonstrated leadership by building and managing teams that supported a variety of industries such as Aerospace & Defense, Diversified Industrials and Services, Healthcare and more.
Mr. VanDerMeid holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Michigan State University. Outside of his professional role, he devotes time to volunteering at his church and coaching his kids’ sports teams.
